Combat vs Worker — Which Passives to Stack

The perfect passive setup depends entirely on your Pal's role. A combat monster needs a completely different build than a dedicated base worker. Here's exactly what to chase for each.

⚔️

Combat Build

Maximum damage & survivability
🏆 Best Combat Stack
Legend + Musclehead + Ferocious + Swift
  • Legend — Non‑negotiable. +20% ATK/DEF/SPD is unmatched value for any fighter.
  • Musclehead — Highest raw ATK boost. The -50% Work Speed penalty is irrelevant in combat roles.
  • Ferocious — Clean +20% ATK with no downside. Pairs perfectly with Musclehead.
  • Swift — Mobility wins fights. Closing gaps and dodging attacks faster keeps your Pal alive longer.

Worker Build

Maximum base productivity
🏗️ Best Worker Stack
Artisan + Work Slave + Serious + Lucky
  • Artisan — +50% Work Speed is the single biggest productivity boost in the game.
  • Work Slave — +30% Work Speed. The ATK penalty doesn't matter for base Pals who never fight.
  • Serious — +10% to all stats including Work Speed. A reliable third slot.
  • Lucky — +15% ATK and Work Speed. The hybrid nature makes it flexible for Pals that do both.

What About Hybrid Pals?

Some Pals like Anubis excel at both combat and base work. For these, consider a mixed build: Legend + Lucky + Artisan + Musclehead. This gives you strong combat performance while keeping solid work speed. Alternatively, breed two separate Anubis — one pure combat, one pure worker — and swap them as needed.

Passive Skills — Common Questions

The essentials on how passives work, how they inherit, and how to stack them efficiently.

Every Pal can hold up to 4 passive skills at once. Wild Pals typically carry 0–2 random passives. Through breeding, you can consolidate exactly 4 specific passives onto one Pal — that's the goal of advanced breeding.

Offspring randomly inherit passives from both parents' combined pool. Fewer unwanted passives on parents = higher odds of getting your desired skills. There's also a small chance of a random mutation. Use the Passive Skill Calculator to check exact odds before breeding.

Only through chain breeding. Legend is exclusive to four legendary Pals (Jetragon, Frostallion, Paladius, Necromus). Breed a legendary with another Pal and the offspring has a chance to inherit it — then continue the chain to pass it further.

Never. Passives like Slacker, Coward, and Glutton contaminate your breeding pool. They take up slots, pass to offspring, and multiply across generations. Purge them immediately — sell those Pals or use them as fusion material only.
